Canada won all six of their games over two days to become winners of the 2007 North America West Indies Rugby Associtaion Sevens tournament played in Nassau, the Bahamas.

Canada opened day one with a 22-0 win over Jamaica, including a pair of second half scores from Brittany Waters.
Against Guyana, Rosie Cobbett and Jill Harris scored twice each for a 24-10 win.

Canada's toughest competition of the day was waiting in the third match in the form of Team USA. A very physical side at the point of contact the US provided a lot of pressure but Rosie Cobbett scored her third and fourth tries of the tournament to give Canada a 12-0 first half lead. Canada's Brittany Harris then crossed before the US scored a converted try, giving Canada a 19-7 win and a perfect record on the day.

On day two, Canada defeated the same teams in the same order, winning 21-0, 38-0 and 19-15. Again the USA proved the toughest opponent, but once again Canada came out on top.

USA Eagles coach Peter Thorburn is wasting no time preparing his side for their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Canada on August 12.

Thorburn finalised his national squad during the NA4 tournament final match last weekend and announced the squad immediately after.

There are four American forwards in a position to push for their first national caps against Canada – Justin Stencel, Ron Rosser, Adam Russell and Chris Moreno.
One back has the chance to debut, Chad Erskine, who along with Stencel has already been capped at Sevens level.

The team will now assemble in camp on August 5 in West Point, NY, where they will train for four days before departing for Newfoundland where they meet the Cannucks three days later.
