I just wanted to clarify that I was badly misquoted in today's Bahamas

Journal re: the article on Jeremico Cooper. Rather than face the wrath of anyone who justifiably feels slighted by this so-called "quote" on my next trip to Winton I thought I'd clear this up now:


The article quotes me as saying:

"Steve and Ken have been responsible for
growing youth rugby in The Bahamas......."

Whilst due credit should be given to Mac and Steve for their efforts with the Cuckoos, I am obviously aware there has been a host of other individuals to numerous to mention who have contributed their time, energy and/or money in helping to grow Youth Rugby in The Bahamas (Nassau & Freeport) both historically and in recent times.
I had specifically mentioned the efforts of others to the Reporter but she singled out Mac and Steve because Mico had come through the Cuckoos.

BRFU Inter-Club 7s Tournament


This Saturday will see the National 7s Selection Tournament held at Winton Rugby Centre. Freeport are in town for this one so we should see a decent standard of competition between all 5 teams.


Schedule:

* Youth Friendlies will be played between 12.30pm and 2.30pm

I just got my hand on some pictures by Tim Aylen. He's a fantastic photographer and a good friend to Bahamas Rugby. So put your crappy camera away boys and leave it to the grown ups.
These shots are from 3 seasons ago, when Baillou were still good and Garry Markham could still get his shorts over his knees.


I wouldn't normally post such old pictures, but Nicky Stubbs wanted me to because he thinks he looks good.

As you can see, the site isn't finished yet, but we're working on it. Each club gets its own information section as well as all the rest of the BRFU stuff.
