Playing as forward for the tournament-winning 'West Indies Development Side', young Bahamian forward, Andrew Bain shone in an event that saw them playing 9 games over two days.

Although he picked up a minor injury in game 6, causing him to miss games 7 & 8, Andrew was able to take the field for the final in which he scored a try and created another.

So impressed was head coach Joe Whipple, that he has invited Andrew to a 3 month intensive training programme in Barbados after which he hopes that Bain will be ready to compete for the West indies team in the prestigious Hong Kong Sevens in March 2009.

Strength and pace are crucial to Andrew's game and as long as he can stay fit and focussed, there is no reason why the 20-year-old cannot go all the way in the sport of Rugby Union.

Congratulations Andrew, we all wish you well.
