Welsh rugby legend Gareth Edwards has opted for experience over youth in his Fantasy Rugby XV - although Andy Farrell's experience all lies in Rugby League!

Gareth's "No 9 Dream Team", competing in the Western Mail Fantasy Rugby tournament, is truly cosmopolitan but with caps galore.

Most notably he's opted for Wales No 10 Stephen Jones but has also picked England veteran Mike Catt in the centre with Tom Shanklin.

Two Welsh loose forwards in Ryan Jones and Alix Popham make up the Welsh contingent and the others are drawn from all the other Six Nations.

Backs:
A Farrell (Eng), A Trimble (Ire), C Paterson (Sco), D Yachvili (Fra), M Catt (Eng), S Jones (Wal), T Shanklin (Wal)

Forwards: A Popham (Wal), J Flannery (Ire), J White(Eng), M Castrogiovanni (It), M O'Kelly (Ire), R Jones (Wal), R Martin (Fra), S Parisse (Fra).

Gareth Edwards is the greatest scrum half to ever play the game - talk to the hand Greegan
