First off - Congrats to the English fans but I hope they get stuffed by the South Africans.

On another note, last weekend Canada celebrated Thanksgiving so no games were scheduled. I was invited over to thanksgiving dinner at the Fumano's residence and dared not to refuse the chance to have a nice hot meal.

For those that don't know, Gary Fumano is responsible for recruitment and
for finding accomodation and jobs for players. It was a very nice meal and I ended up having seconds in addition to taking a plate home.

You know us Bahamians famous for "toteing".

This weekend we were up against the Ravens RFC in sunny conditions. I was selected to start at outside centre on the second team instead of wing for
the first. Reason being was the the coaches wanted to have a look at me in

the centres. Also, I was responsible for kicking duty on the day. This along with playing at centre had me a bit excited and I went out with the goal to prove my worth.

From the kickoff we applied pressure to the Ravens and scored within two
minutes with a try, scored in the far left corner. This was a bit too tricky for me with the conversion falling shy to the left.

From then on it was all downhill for the Lomas. Every time the ball came out to the backs and I got ball I was able to break the gain line gaining about 20 plus yards on every run. The best one of the day was me getting the ball in the opposition 40 and making a run up to our 22, setting up a 2 on 1 situation with the fullback where I waited until the last possible minute to draw him in putting away our winger for a try under the post. The try was spectular but I was on the receiving end of a very bruising tackle from the fullback but was able to get up and slot over the conversion.

We maintained about 80% possession winning all lineouts and scrums and
didn't really have to defend too much throughout the game. In the end the

final score was 46-6 and I was 1 for 5 in conversions. In my defence, most of the tries were scored out wide, which made conversions very tricky. Final analysis for the game for me (provided by the game analysist) was 7 runs, 5 tackles, 3 kicks and 5 passes with 60 minutes playing time. Dan Fumano and I were in the voting for Man of the Match but Dan came away with it in the end.

I think I had a pretty good game and was told by the manager that they
will be looking to include me in the centres for the next 1st division game.
