2007 NAWIRA Men’s & Women’s Sevens
With the cancellation of the 2007 Men’s & Women’s 15 a-side championships due to the threat of Huricanne Dean, all attention switches to the forthcoming 2007 NAWIRA Sevens scheduled for The Winton Rugby Centre, Nassau, Bahamas on November 17th & 18th.
In the Men’s tournament Guyana will be trying to retain their 2006 winner’s trophy, though will face stiff opposition from the likes of Jamaica, USA South, Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago. In the women’s tournament the USA Developing Eagles will face a strong challenge from a Canadian Development team and the reigning Women’s Caribbean champions Jamaica.
