CRFU welcome HSBC backing for youth rugby

CRFU Technical Director Richard Adams with Mr and Mrs Jalles and the young rugby players who have just received their HSBC kitbags.

Youngsters attending the Cayman Rugby Football Union (CRFU) youth training session last Saturday morning got a surprise. At 9:30 am, they were called to the CRFU clubhouse and presented with kit bags supplied by one of the youth programme sponsors, HSBC.

Handing out the kit bags was Gonzalo Jalles, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Financial Services (Cayman) Limited accompanied by his wife Gisela. Afterwards Mr Jalles said that HSBC had a global commitment to support education and the environment.

“We are very happy to be involved with the work the CRFU are doing here and all round the islands. We think it fits in with what we want to do and we are happy to support them,”

he explained.

Richard Adams, CRFU Technical Director, said that HSBC was a major corporate sponsor of local rugby and they were very grateful to them, not only for the support, but also to Mr and Mrs Jalles for taking time to make the presentation.
The youngsters were all clearly delighted with the latest addition to their rugby kit.
