Thanks to Franny DeCardinas at Bahamas Waste for introducing this programme.

From now on, beer and soda cans will no longer be thrown into the regular garbage, they will be put into special marked containers dotted about Winton to be given to "Cans for Kids".

So next time you have a beer at the pitch, please use these containers.

I'd also like to thank Franny and Bahamas Waste for providing free waste removal at Winton. Now its down to the rest of us to keep the place clean.

Also, you could collect your cans at home and bring them to Winton.

Every pound of cans we collect will earn rugby 50c.

Cans for Kids' Ginney McKinney:

Cans for Kids really only costs you in effort. The effort involves placing aluminum cans in a small (or large) grocery bag for transportation to the nearest depot.
Which in this case would be the Rugby Club whenever you are having games, training sessions or youth programmes.

The cans collected will earn Bahamas Rugby 50c per pound. The skys the limit to how many cans you bring us.

Think about it, if we can collect 4,800,000lb of cans we can build a centre! :)
