Rugby West Indies can be competitive in first round of Sevens World Series
Rugby West Indies will meet Fiji, Argentina and Scotland in Pool A on the first day of their participation in the iRB Sevens World Series in
San Diego, 10th & 11th February. The West Indies will play their opening game against Argentina.

While Fiji are current champions of the Sevens World Series, they are currently in 5th position in the Series which began in Dubai, followed by South Africa and currently taking place in New Zealand.
Scotland has so far lost all of its games in the earlier rounds, including to regional teams such as Zimbabwe, Kenya and Tunisia and, Argentina, amongst the world top teams last year, have not so far performed up to expectation in the Series, winning only 4 of their games in the Series to date, including going down to Canada, Kenya and Wales.
The West Indies should, therefore, have a competitive opportunity to be among the first 2 teams from their Pool to go forward into the Cup round.
The West Indies is sponsored by Conyers Dill & Pearman and Butterfield Bank.
