Dan is well. He is heading to Trinidad for West Indies training camp for Jan 19-21. Joe Whipple (West Indies 7s head coach) has about 18-guys at the camp going for 12-spots for San Diego, Dan has a legitimate shot at making the team but as we all witnessed in Barbados, competition is extremely fierce to make this team.
I met up with Dan while in the UK, he has clearly settled in well and is a very popular 'character' at the club. The Head Coach expects him to break into the first team before the end of the year and after a summer of reflection he expects him to compete strongly for a regular starting spot in the 2007/8 season. It has certainly been a steeep learning curve for him.
