Mediocrity Rules-ish

All in all, a fairly inauspicious start to the Fall Sevens seasons, in which the games started almost an hour late and several players wandered in as and when the muse was upon them.

Week two has to be better with each club requred to produce one team of 12 members. Each team needs to be at Winton and ready to play for 3pm.

THE FANS

Its really unfair on rugby fans who turn up to watch games, only to find themselves sitting around while the primadonnas drift in when it suits them.

What was even more shocking was the number of players who neither showed up, nor bothered to inform their captains that they were unavailable, thus disrespecting both their club and the game.

Arriving late is annoying, not bothering to show up at all is unforgivable. As far as the captains were concerned, they were expecting a full compliment of players by 2pm.....

Anyway, week 2.

We're only playing A-games this weekend to see if we can at least get that right. These will be interspersed with youth games, so Youth Officers, let your younger players know that they will be playing. The day will conclude with a ladies game.

CAPTAINS

Make sure you've got a list of 12 names who you can guarantee will be at Winton ready to go by 3pm.
