Nassau Select 27:7 FAU


A Nassau Select XV played against Florida Atlantic University on Saturday. An excellent game, which perhaps was not refelected in the score. A very close first half, but in the end, the more experienced Nassau team was just too strong for the tourists.
FAU coach 'Big John' Cawthray was undeterred by the score, saying "this was just the kind of game weneeded. The boys knew they'd played a game and they kearnt some important lessons out there today".


Nassau Ladies 5:5 FAU


For many, the highlight of the day was the ladies' game. A very hard-fought affair throughout. Both tries, coming from breakaways.


Everybody was delighted with the outcome of the day and we hope to make this an annual event.


One sour point, Dolan Gilliam, the FAU hooker was ambulanced to hospital during the men's game. However, this was merely a precautionary measure and he was able to join the post-match party,so no foul.



The BRFU would liketo thank FAU for a great day's rugby and a better night's partying.
