The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) has announced that they will be touring The Bahamas in early May this year. They will play against a Nassau Select XV on Saturday, May 13th.

FAU Men's Rugby Team is a collegiate Division II club team. One of their coaches, Big John Cawthray (back row right) is a good friend of Bahamas Rugby, having toured here in the past with the Florida East Coast Elders Side (FECES) and we look forward to seeing him again.


FAU Rugby, while deeply affiliated with the university, remains a club. They get funding from Student Government, sponsors and from fundraising.
Their seasons record this year was 11-1-1. The team loves and lives rugby, which is hard when in college, as on top of school work, they practice twice a week, train on the others and travel on the weekends for matches.


This tour to the Bahamas is a first for many of their player and we're all are anticipating a good game of rugby.
